April Favourites

Here are my monthly favourites! Read more to get all the details xo
1.Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation

This gel foundation is made from a vitamin-rich formula with litchi, goji berries and pomegranates. Ladies and gentlemen this literally smells like you’re putting goji berry on your face. It is not overpowering by any means but it does have a very distinct fruity smell. This foundation glides on LIKE A DREAM. It blends so nicely, and has a dewy, luminous *My skin is perfect* finish. This foundation is literally hands-down one of the best I have ever tried. The coverage is low, but you can literally put on as any layers as you want and build it to be medium-high. It feels light on the skin and not tacky to the touch.
It is drugstore but a little more on the pricier side at $29.00. BUT, it does come in a decent sized bottle.
It is hypoallergenic and dermatologically tested. As far as benefits to your skin this foundation gets a huge thumbs up.

2. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

I feel like if you don’t already have this concealer, then you need to just stop reading this right now and go out and get it. This is literally under $10.00 and it is the best concealer I have EVER TRIED. I consider this a serious dupe for the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Concealer which is like three times the price ($35.00).
It blends out perfectly and is super lightweight but such heavy coverage. On days when I want to just even out my skin tone a little bit and not go crazy, I dot this around my entire face, blend it out, and BOOM. I look presentable.

It is non-comedogenic, dermatologist-tested, ophthalmologist-tested and fragrance-free.
There really isn’t much point on going on and on with this, just do yourself a favour and buy it. You won’t regret it : )
I am *Light*

3. Nars All Day Luminous Powder Foundation.

A quick disclaimer this guy is a little bit of a pretty penny… Mama likes to treat herself sometimes. ($59.00)
I use this a couple of ways. When I want just a little bit of coverage I just give my face a light dusting of this and call it a day. My skin can be pretty dry sometimes so I need to be careful when using a powder foundation. If I get a little too carried away with it I just use a face spray and it totally calms down. Another way I use it is as a setting powder. It gives your skin such a natural luminous finish. You pretty much fool everyone into thinking your skin is just glowing from the inside out.
I wouldn’t say that is completely and totally worth the money, but I do enjoy it and find myself reaching for it all the time.
It is dermatologist-tested, noncomedogenic, alcohol-free, and oil-free and paraben free.
I am *Siberia*

4. Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Full Fan Effect

I have to say, when I first got this I did not like it. I usually like my mascaras to be very lengthening and not so much volumizing. I like to stick to the very natural side and I don’t like clumps. This mascara is extremely voluminous and it lengthens as well. It pretty much makes your lashes pop. At first it was too much for me but the more I tried it out and used it the more I kind of liked how much it made my lashes stand out. It’s super affordable so if you’re in the market for a new mascara and you want your lashes to really stand out, try this one out!

5. Makeup Forever Mist & Fix Setting Spray

I love this spray. This was actually given to me by my sister and I am obsessed. I use it to set my makeup and it just takes away all the excess powder. It gives such a beautiful dewy finish and definitely helps my makeup last. The spray on it is really nice it just gives you a fine mist and the scent doesn’t bother me. Which is surprising because usually I am very picky, but this one makes the cut!

6. The Original Beauty Blender

So up until about a month ago I was living in the dark and thinking that without a beauty blender life would go on… Wrong.
I was wrong. Beauty blenders are literally so magical. They are so versatile and they give such a beautiful dewy finish to everything. Yes they are pricey for just a piece of sponge ($28.00)… if you want to save your money you could try the Real Techniques bright orange one. I have read some reviews saying that it’s nice as well. But lets be honest I’m a snob and I wanted black so here we are. Anyway I really love this especially for applying my concealer it really helps to blend it out everything nicely and keep things looking soft and not dry.

7. 100% Pure Organic Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream

I got this in a Birchbox and it smells like a delicious coffee and vanilla concoction. Enriched with caffenine from coffee and green tea it is supposed to help reduce redness, puffiness and over-all darkness under the eyes. I don’t notice a HUGE difference from just using this on my under eyes. But I do like how moisturizing it is. I have dry skin so this really helps hydrate around my eyes, and it smells really good so that’s an added bonus.

8. Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle

I love this leave-in conditioner spray. It conditions, shields from sun and heat damage, and of course detangles. I put this in my hair after I’ve washed it and I can really tell the difference. My hair is so smooth and it helps to get the tangles out so when you brush you’re hair you’re not ripping it out. (Am I the only one who has this issue?) Anyway I got this in a birchbox, it is 100% vegan and they say it is suitable for all hair types. So give it a go, why not you? : )

What have you guys been really loving this month?
